Moving to New York from abroad means learning the particular rules of its rental market quickly: no U.S. credit score, a full application package, third-party guarantors, a fast-moving market and many other things to organize at once.
Having navigated that process twice himself — first as a student, then through a professional transfer — Smoove’s founder wanted to offer newcomers a simpler, more transparent kind of support.
Today, Smoove combines digital tools, an international-friendly housing database, knowledge of the New York market and personal guidance to help clients prepare for their arrival, find their first apartment and act quickly when an opportunity arises.

He began his career in Transaction Services at EY in Paris, then earned an MBA at New York University with a specialization in real estate. He went on to work as an investment banker in real estate at Barclays and J.P. Morgan in London, before helping launch the New York office of the advisory firm BM&A, where he supported French companies setting up and investing in the United States.
That professional and personal experience shapes the Smoove approach: understanding a client’s profile quickly, anticipating obstacles, preparing a strong application and staying responsive in a fast-moving market.
